FAQ

How much does it cost? This will depend on the program you are training and what the schedule is during the week that you want to maintain. To give a baseline estimate:

  1. Basic memberships start: $100.00/month for one (1) group session per week.
  2. Registration is $100.00 plus first months tuition.

standard tuition is month by month thereafter, due by the 15th. Be responsible.

Are there contracts? No, I do not require payment contracts; if you do not wish to train, I do not want you stuck while wasting my time.

Can I come see a class? We are a private gym, all visitors and lessons are by appointment. Generally I do not bring visitors into an active session. If you are ready to enroll we can schedule a consultation before your first group class. Here we will go over your goals and your physical fitness level. We will discuss and decide. From there we will finalize the paperwork.; IE you will make payment and we will then schedule a training plan.

Do You teach children?  Generally no. We are an adult training hall. The martial arts we study are difficult and they take a high degree of maturity to gain full benefit. Serious adult students do not want to train with little kids and I do not wish to be a babysitter.
IF I agreed to teach children ages 10-14 it would be a separate class and the parents would be required to stay and participate in the session.

Is your school Co-Ed?   Some of the classes I teach are men’s only and
Some of the classes I teach are Co-Ed. The overall environment is dominantly a men’s training hall, although this is not a set rule.

Do I need to be an athlete? No. You do not need to be an athlete or have experience to get involved. You do need to want to be an athlete and have personal discipline and intelligence to achieve success. There is little reason to wait if your goals are to be achieved.

Do you spar? Yes. For the martial arts, sparring is a part of the natural process. Full contact is to be expected; however, we like to “Spar light and drill hard” most of the time. In other words, sparring will be introduced, maintained and reinforced through traditional drills, exercises and lots of play. This method is to facilitate the comprehension and combat proficiency of the student.

What time is class? Classes are held in the evenings during the week and on Saturdays respectively.

How long is each class? Standard group lessons range from 1 to 2 hours pending on the days activities.

Do you have an online course? No, at this time I have no official online training course. I do have a you tube channel where i post basics as well as personal training clips, I do this for fun and to help promote the arts, not to sell videos. I maintain the view that these arts can only best be learned hand to hand.

Are there uniform requirements? No, there is no codified uniform to purchase. You are responsible for using personal protective equipment such as cup and mouth guard ECT. Other than that, you may dress comfortably as long as its appropriate and not cheeky. Bare foot or Low profile martial art shoes may be worn once approved for use.

We do have some brand merch available at times.

How Long until I get my black belt, I want to be a teacher? I do not have that answer. To learn martial art to the high degree takes a great deal of self determination and discipline. You will need to devote your time and energy to both intellectual study and physical training and do this consistently for time. You will need to establish yourself as above and beyond the average student. Not everyone who trains will receive a black sash and/or earn an endorsement to teach. These are high honors and will take great effort to achieve. If you train once per week in the wuguan and not at all during the week you will get the appropriate results. Do the math. Be honest with your goals and habits. Be ok with where you are at or be more active in training. Time will tell the rest.

Do you offer any discounts? Our rates are very modest and I do not require payment contracts to enroll; this alone makes CSA budget friendly. If you are sincere but require financial assistance I may be willing to extend a discounted rate or other agreements pending qualifications. Feel free to discuss this with me.
